End-to-End Pipeline for Webcomic Formatting & Translation (Heirs of the Collapse)

This showcases the automated system I built to convert traditional comic pages into a mobile-friendly vertical scroll format and to localize the project into multiple languages simultaneously.

Workflow Highlights:

Automated Formatting: A custom script splits final comic pages into layers and reassembles them into a vertical format suitable for webcomic platforms.

Intelligent Translation: The system uses a local generative AI (Ollama) integrated with Adobe InDesign. Each speech bubble and SFX is tagged with XML, allowing the AI to provide context-aware translations tailored to each character's voice.

Auto-Sizing Text Frames: InDesign's auto-sizing feature automatically adjusts speech bubbles to fit the translated text, solving a major localization bottleneck.

Impact:
This end-to-end content pipeline enables a single creator to manage the automated weekly release of a 75-chapter comic in 5 languages across 6 different platforms.
